يهدف التعليم الثانوى الفنى إلى إعداد فئة "الفنى" فى مجالات الصناعة ، والزراعة ، والتجارة ، والإدارة ، والخدمات ، وتنمية الملكات الفنية لدى الدارسين .
ويتم القبول فى نوعيات التعليم الثانوى الفنى بعد الحصول على شهادة إتمام الدراسة بمرحلة التعليم الأساسى ، ووفقا للشروط والقواعد التى يصدر بها قرار من وزير التعليم .
