تنظم بقرارات من وزير التعليم بعد موافقة المجلس الأعلى للتعليم مواد الدراسة وخططها والمناهج والامتحانات فى التعليم الثانوى العام على أن تتضمن مواد الدراسة مواد أساسية لجميع الطلبة ، ومواد أخرى للاختيار من بينها وفق استعداد الطالب وقدراته .
