يتولى رئيس أركان حرب القوات المسلحة الإشراف العام على الأكاديمية وله أن يطلب إلى مجلس الأكاديمية أو اللجان الفنية المختلفة بالأكاديمية بحث ودراسة موضوعات معينة وخاصة الموضوعات المتصلة بالسياسة العامة للتدريس فى الأكاديمية وربطها بحاجات البلاد وقواتها المسلحة ومطالب نهضتها وذلك لإبداء الرأى واتخاذ قرار بشأنها.
