يجوز بقرار من وزير الدفاع عند الاقتضاء تعيين أعضاء بهيئة التدريس فى الأكاديمية من العسكريين الحائزين على الشروط المنصوص عليها بالمواد السابقة عند إحالتهم إلى التقاعد لمدة سنة قابلة للتجديد، وتسرى عليهم فى هذه الحالة القواعد والأحكام السارية بشأن أعضاء هيئة التدريس.
