يصدر بتعيين مدير الأكاديمية قرار من وزير الدفاع بناء على ترشيح لجنة ضباط القوات المسلحة، ويكون لمدير الأكاديمية اختصاص وكيل الوزارة فى الشئون المالية والادارية وكذلك اختصاصات قادة المناطق العسكرية فى كافة الأمور العسكرية.
