يتألف الاتحاد التعاونى للثروة المائية من الجمعيات التعاونية المحلية والمشتركة والعامة وتكون مهمة هذا الاتحاد نشر الدعوة إلى التعاون والدفاع عن مصالح الجمعيات التعاونية وإرشادها فى إدارة أعمالها ومراجعة حساباتها والتفتيش على أعمالها وبث الروح التعاونية ومساعدة المواطنين على إنشاء الجمعيات التعاونية وله في سبيل ذلك أن يعين المشرفين والمنظمين والمراجعين لهذه الأعمال .
