Article 16 of the Private and National Universities Law

يكون لكل جامعة أهلية مجلس أمناء، أما لا يقل عدد أعضائه عن أحد عشر
عضوا ولا يزيد على واحد وعشرين عضوا يختارون من كبار العلماء والأساتذة
المتخصصين والخبراء والشخصيات العامة. يختارهم من قاموا بإنشاء الجامعة، يضاف
إليهم ممثل عن الحكومة يختاره الوزير المختص بالتعليم العالي، ويكون رئيس الجامعة
عضوا في هذا المجلس.
ويجتمع مجلس الأمناء لأول مرة برئاسة أكبر الأعضاء سنا لاختيار الرئيس ونائبه.
