المفاوضة الجماعية هى الحوار والمناقشات التى تجرى بين المنظمات النقابية العمالية وبين أصحاب الأعمال أو منظماتهم ، من أجل :
( أ ) تحسين شروط وظروف العمل وأحكام الاستخدام .
(ب) التعاون بين طرفى العمل لتحقيق التنمية الاجتماعية لعمال المنشأة .
(ج) تسوية المنازعات بين العمال وأصحاب الأعمال .
