يجوز للهيئة تبادل بعض الآثار المنقولة المكررة مع الدول أو المتاحف أو المعاهد العلمية العربية أو الأجنبية وذلك بقرار من رئيس الجمهورية بناء على اقتراح الوزير المختص بشئون الثقافة .
ويجوز بقرار من رئيس الجمهورية تحقيقا للصالحة العامة ولمدة محددة عرض بعض الآثار فى الخارج ، ولا يسرى هذا الحكم على الآثار التى يحددها مجلس إدارة الهيئة سواء لكونها من الآثار الفريدة أو التى يخشى عليها من التلف .
