يعين الوزير المختص عميد الكلية من بين أساتذة الكلية، بناء على ترشيح مدير الجامعة وموافقة شيخ الأزهر، ويكون العميد مسئولا عن تنفيذ القوانين واللوائح الجامعية، وكذلك عن تنفيذ قرارات مجلس الكلية ومجلس الجامعة فى حدود هذه القوانين واللوائح، ويقدم العميد إلى مدير الجامعة فى كل سنة جامعية تقريرا عن شئون التعليم والبحوث العلمية وسائر نواحى النشاط بالكلية.
