يتولى مدير الجامعة إدارة شئون الجامعة العلمية والإدارية والمالية، وهو الذى يمثلها أمام الهيئات الأخرى.
وهو مسئول عن تنفيذ القوانين واللوائح فى الجامعة، وقرارات مجلس الجامعة فى حدود هذه القوانين واللوائح، وله فى حالة الإخلال بالنظام أن يقف الدراسة كلها أو بعضها، على أن يعرض قرار الوقف على مجلس الجامعة خلال ثلاثة أيام.
