What is the offence of breach of trust behind a trust receipt (eisal amana), and its penalty under the Penal Code?

Under Article 341, breach of trust applies where money or property was entrusted to a person on one of the specified bases—including as a deposit—and that person embezzles, uses, or misappropriates it to the detriment of its owner or lawful holder. A trust receipt may evidence the entrustment, but its label alone does not establish the offence; the actual arrangement and conduct must meet those elements. 1
The prescribed penalty is imprisonment (ḥabs); the court may also impose a fine not exceeding EGP 100. 1
