يجوز لطالب براءة الاختراع أن يقدم فى أى وقت قبل الإعلان عن قبول طلب البراءة طلبا بتعديل مواصفات الاختراع أو رسمه الهندسى مع بيان ماهية التعديل وأسبابه وبشرط ألا يؤدى التعديل إلى المساس بذاتية الاختراع ، وتتبع فى هذا الشأن ذات الإجراءات الخاصة بطلب البراءة .
