تستأنف قرارات هيئة التأديب الابتدائية أمام هيئة تأديب استئنافية تتكون من إحدى دوائر محكمة استئناف القاهرة وعضوين يختار المجلس أحدهما من بين أعضائه ، ويختار ثانيهما الصحفى المحال إلى المحاكمة التأديبية . فإذا لم يحمل الصحفى حقه فى الاختيار خلال أسبوع من تاريخ إعلانه بالجلسة المحددة لمحاكمته ، اختار المجلس العضو الثانى .
ويرفع الاستئناف خلال خمسة عشر يوما من تاريخ إبلاغ العضو بقرار هيئة التأديب الابتدائية .
