ومع ذلك إذا ترتب على هذه الشهادة الحكم على المتهم يعاقب من شهد عليه زورا بالسجن المشدد أو السجن أما إذا كانت العقوبة المحكوم بها على المتهم هي الإعدام ونفذت عليه يحكم بالإعدام أيضا على من شهد عليه زورا .
