العقوبة بالغرامة هى إلزام المحكوم عليه بأن يدفع إلى خزينة الحكومة المبلغ المقدر فى الحكم .
ولا يجوز أن تقل الغرامة عن مائة قرش ولا أن يزيد حدها الأقصى فى الجنح على خمسمائة جنيه ، وذلك مع عدم الإخلال بالحدود التى يبينها القانون لكل جريمة .
