لا يجوز تخزين بذرة القطن التجارى ألا فى الأحواش الداخلية للمحالج والمعاصر أو فى الشون الملحقة بها والتى ترخص بها وزارة الزراعة و بشرط أن تكون البذرة داخل عبوات يحدد مواصفاتها وزير الزراعة .
ومع ذلك يجوز بتصريح من الوزارة تخزين بذرة القطن التجارى بدون عبوات بالاحواش الداخلية للمعاصر إذا كانت البذرة قد سبقت معاملتها لقتل حيويتها أو إذا أودعت مخازن محكمة الاغلاق مزودة بآلات تسجيل أوزان تعتمدها الوزارة .
