يحال عضو السلك إلى المعاش عند بلوغه من العمر ستين سنة ميلادية ، ومع ذلك يجوز عند الضرورة وبقرار من رئيس الجمهورية مد خدمة من يشغل وظيفة وزير مفوض فيما فوقها لمدة سنة قابلة للتجديد أقصاها أربع سنوات .
