ينشأ برئاسة مجلس الوزراء جهاز لحماية وتنمية البيئة يسمى « جهاز شئون
البيئة » وتكون له الشخصية الاعتبارية العامة ، ويتبع الوزير المختص بشئون
البيئة ، وتكون له موازنة مستقلة ، ويكون مركزه مدينة القاهرة ، وينشأ بقرار من
الوزير المختص بشئون البيئة فروع للجهاز بالمحافظات ، وتكون الأولوية للمناطق
الصناعية .
