الهيئة العامة للأرصاد الجوية ، هيئة عامة خدمية ، تتمتع بالشخصية الاعتبارية،
وتتبع الوزير المختص .
ويكون مقرها الرئيس مدينة القاهرة ، ويجوز بقرار من مجلس إدارتها إنشاء فروع
أخرى داخل جمهورية مصر العربية .
