اتحاد شركات التأمين ، اتحاد غير هادف للربح يتكون من شركات التأمين وإعادة التأمين الخاضعة لهذا القانون أيا كان نوع النشاط الذي تزاوله ، ويتمتع بشخصية اعتبارية مستقلة ، ويعد من أشخاص القانون الخاص ويسجل فى سجل خاص بالهيئة ، ويشار إليه في هذا القانون بالاتحاد .
