العسكريون والمدنيون التابعون لوزارة الدفاع والمتطوعون الذين يتوفون أو يستشهدون داخل أراضي جمهورية مصر العربية أو خارجها تقوم وزارة الدفاع بإخطار مصلحة الأحوال المدنية عنهم لإخطار قسم السجل المدني المختص، وتنظم اللائحة التنفيذية الإجراءات التي تتبع في هذه الحالة.
