يشكل مجلس الشيوخ من (٣٠٠) عضو ، وينتخب ثلثا أعضائه بالاقتراع العام
السرى المباشر ، ويعين رئيس الجمهورية الثلث الباقى ، على أن يخصص للمرأة ما لا يقل
عن (١٠٪) من إجمالى عدد المقاعد .
