يحظر تشغيل الطفل أكثر من ست ساعات يوميا ، ويجب أن تتخلل ساعات العمل فترة أو أكثر لتناول الطعام والراحة لا تقل فى مجموعها عن ساعة واحدة ، وتحدد هذه الفترة أو الفترات بحيث لا يعمل الطفل أكثر من أربع ساعات متصلة ، ويحظر تشغيل الطفل ساعات عمل إضافية أو تشغيله فى أيام الراحة الأسبوعية والعطلات الرسمية .
وفى جميع الأحوال ، يحظر تشغيل الطفل فيما بين الساعة السابعة مساء والسابعة صباحا .
