لا يقتصر الرهن الحيازى على ضمان أصل الحق و إنما يضمن أيضا وفى نفس المرتبة ما يأتى :
( ١ ) المصروفات الضرورية التى أنفقت للمحافظة على الشىء .
(ب) التعويضات عن الأضرار الناشئة عن عيوب الشىء .
( ج ) مصروفات العقد الذى أنشأ الدين ومصروفات عقد الرهن الحيازى وقيده عند الاقتضاء .
( د ) المصروفات التى اقتضاها تنفيذ الرهن الحيازى .
( ه ) جميع الفوائد المستحقة مع مراعاة ما جاء فى المادة ٢٣٠
