يتم مراجعة وتحديث المخطط الاستراتيجى العام للمدينة أو القرية كل خمس سنوات على الأكثر لضمان ملاءمته للتطور الاقتصادى والاجتماعى والبيئى والعمرانى والأوضاع المحلية .
ويكون تعديل وتحديث المخطط واعتماد هذا التعديل والتحديث باتباع ذات القواعد والإجراءات المقررة فى هذا القانون ولائحته التنفيذية لإعداد المخطط الاستراتيجى العام واعتماده .
