Article 45 of the Antiquities Protection Law

يعاقب بالحبس مدة لا تقل عن شهر وبغرامة لا تزيد على مائة ألف جنيه أو بإحدى هاتين العقوبتين كل من قام بأى من الفعلين الآتيين
:
1 - تواجد بإحدى المواقع الأثرية أو المتاحف دون تصريح بذلك .
2 - تسلق أثرا دون الحصول على ترخيص بذلك .
وتضاعف العقوبة حال ارتباط أى من الفعلين المشار إليهما بالبندين (1، 2)
بفعل مخالف للآداب العامة أو الإساءة للبلاد .
