لا يجوز للغير مباشرة أعمال البحث أو التنقيب عن الآثار إلا تحت الإشراف المباشر للهيئة عن طريق من تندبه لهذا الغرض من الخبراء والفنيين ، وفقا لشروط الترخيص الصادر منها .
ويرخص لرئيس البعثة أو من يقوم مقامه بدراسة الآثار التى اكتشفتها البعثة ورسمها وتصويرها ، ويحفظ حق البعثة فى النشر العلمى عن حفائرها لمدة أقصاها خمس سنوات من تاريخ أول كشف لها فى الموقع ، يسقط بعدها حقها فى الأسبقية فى النشر .
