يؤدى ضباط الشرطة عند بدء تعيينهم وقبل مباشرة أعمال وظائفهم يمينا أمام وزير الداخلية بالنص الآتى:
“أقسم بالله العظيم، أن أحافظ على النظام الجمهورى، وأن أحترم الدستور والقانون، وأرعى سلامة الوطن، وأؤدى واجبى بالذمة والصدق”.
